Golden Icelandic

This might be the most shiny and lustrous piece I’ve worked on.
Measuring 24x40”,
With fleece that is 6.5” at the longest section.
There are a few imperfections on the skin side of this piece (shown in photos and reflected in the price.) I chose to keep these areas rather than trimming them off, because the fleece on be other side is so beautiful.
This hide is naturally tanned using minerals and emulsified oils, without the use of harsh chemicals.
Please note that this peice was once a living animal on a northern farm.
despite countless hours washing and combing there will always be some bits of hay or other natural materials. These will shake out over time.
Unlike the sterile factory produced hides these skins retain their natural charecteristics. The hope is that this is seen as a part of the value of these products.
